Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel
Prague Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Heiko Mathias Förster - Meistersingerhalle

Program Info:
Karel Svoboda - Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel

The original film with live orchestra
Can you solve this puzzle? “A little hat with feathers, a crossbow over his shoulder – but he’s not a hunter. A silver interwoven dress with a train to the ball – but she’s not a princess.” Guessed? Then you too are part of the huge fan base who can not only recite these sentences from the classic fairy tale “Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella” by heart. There are now entire families who happily sit in front of the television at Christmas time and follow Cinderella on her ride through deep snow-covered forests - despite the ridicule of her pompous stepmother and stepsister, straight into the arms of the prince. This year it can be seen again in the Nuremberg Meistersingerhalle in a brilliant cinema format.

Also included: Karel Svoboda's music, played live by a large live orchestra, synchronized scene by scene with the romantic and funny adventures on the big screen. Shortly after his Cinderella soundtrack, Svoboda received his first orders from the West, and his theme tunes for animated films such as “Maya the Bee”, “Wickie” and “Nils Holgersson” were created. But only the melody to which the princess races through the snow on her white horse can evoke such blissful feelings of happiness - hardly distinguishable from the anticipation of the festival...
