The Disney classic “Beauty and the Beast” is not only a cinematic masterpiece, but thanks to composer Alan Menken it is also a musical masterpiece, which won four Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes and two Oscars for its unforgettable soundtrack. With the spectacular new film, a visually stunning live version created a new monument to the animated classic from the 1990s full of magical moments and rousing music. New recordings of the original songs composed by Menken as well as songs composed for this film adaptation accompany the star cast around Emma Watson as Belle. The real camera recordings, which were only later expanded to include visual effects, allow the viewer to become a direct part of the event.
At the KKL Lucerne, the romantic-comedy story of love and friendship can now be experienced in a rousing concert format: while the entire film from 2017 is shown on a huge screen, the 21st century takes place st Century Orchestra together with the 21st st Century Chorus also features the original soundtrack with all its wonderful songs like “Be Our Guest” or “Beauty and the Beast”.
