Program Info: Mila Animated short film with live music
Trento, 1943. The bombings of the Second World War take away from Mila her family, her home and her peace. However, with a pinch of imagination, Mila manages to cling to hope and have a profound impact on those who will save her life, on others and on each of us. MILA has received more than 40 awards worldwide and was nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the 94th Academy Awards. A war story observed through the eyes of a little girl and born from the stories that the director was able to hear from her mother, who gives voice to all children of any conflict and of any era, representing the best of all humanity. A film that speaks to us through the universality of music, played live by our orchestra which recorded the original soundtrack of the short film.
