Program Info: A film with music creates a wonderful symbiosis of image and sound and affects our emotions every time we allow ourselves to be willingly absorbed in this magical world. However, music for films dealing with space is a special chapter. Original scores from history's greatest space films create fascinating sound worlds that allow the listener to forget mundane reality and stimulate their imagination and emotions. Film music contains magical moments, and the orchestral suites from these films represent one of the essential artistic elements in the work. Original music thus accompanies incredible stories about encounters with extraterrestrial civilisations, space shuttles, time travel, distant planets and the future of humanity, but at the same time it also brings strong philosophical, ethical and humane messages that concern us here and now. The audience's cinema experience is changing to a purely auditory one, and the recipe for the success of film music is, in addition to using all the achievements of modernism and the digital era, also using the tradition of symphonic and romantic music.
