After the break, chief conductor Marcus Bosch will present a blend of tradition and modernity with Wolfgang Korngold's symphony, written in the 1950s. young man in Vienna with his opera Die tote Stadt Korngold, who became known as a and later had to emigrate, found his great career in Hollywood in the field of film. His symphony was also inspired by one of his numerous film scores: It is based on the soundtrack to the 1939 film The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex .
