With this cine-concert, presented in creation at the Auditorium, the cult group Tindersticks revisits its unique collaboration with film-maker Claire Denis. With eight musicians and strings, Tindersticks interacts live with the most memorable scenes from ten films, in a montage produced with the agreement of the director: " Nothing forces us to work together, but it's always new and rich For me. The music, the beauty of Stuart's singing, the melody, their way of playing... Stuart has a unique and very poetic way of saying things about the flesh, sex..." From Nénette and Boni (1996) to the recent Des étoiles à noon (Grand Prix of the Cannes Film Festival 2022), the soundscapes created for the screen by the British musicians alternate between orchestral elegance, atmospheric jazz and songs ( Tiny Tears, Trouble Every Day, Willow, Both Sides of the Blade …).
