What would the highlights of film history be without grandiose soundtracks? With Korngold and Steiner, two Viennese composers are on the truly cinematic programme, who decisively shaped the early years of American sound film and whose works had a great influence on John Williams, for example. Italian and Italian-American cinema was carried by the likes of Nino Rota and Ennio Morricone, while Michel Colombier knew how to use his French charm above all in Hollywood.

Erich Wolfgang Korngold - Overture to "Captain Blood"
Max Steiner - "Gone with the Wind" (Selection)
George Gershwin - "Porgy and Bess" (Selection)
Bernard Herrmann - "Psycho" (Selection)
Maalouf Ibrahim - "Baikal" aus "In the forests of Siberia" (In den Wäldern Sibiriens)
Nino Rota - "The Godfather" (Der Pate) (Selection)
Nino Rota - "The Leopard" (Der Leopard)
Ennio Morricone - "Per un pugno di dollari" (For a Fistful of Dollars) (Selection)
Michel Colombier - "Emmanuel" (Selection)
John Williams - "Raiders March" from "Indiana Jones"
