Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Live
Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg - Olympiapark, Olympiahalle

Program Info:
John Williams - Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone

"You're a wizard, Harry". It is the orphan's eleventh birthday, as Hagrid the Giant, pronounces the words that will turn Harry Potter's life upside down.

But the meek-looking youth with the round spectacles and lightning-shaped scar on his forehead is no ordinary magician: he alone is said to have the power to break the power of Voldemort: The Wizard of Darkness. J.K. Rowling's hugely successful novels captivated an entire generation, and the eight-part Hollywood blockbuster films also made millions of hearts beat faster. For the first time at the Munich Olympic Hall, fans can experience the Harry Potter saga in person with a new stage show performed by a live orchestra.

Re-enacting the film with a soundtrack by a full-size live orchestra On a big screen, audiences follow Harry as he masters his first eventful year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as he walks down the eerie corridors and over moving stairs, or competing in the Quidditch tournaments on a magic broom. The story with all its drama is brought to life by the Babelsberg German Film Orchestra, as they perform John Williams' legendary film score. For the first time, the striking "Hedwig's Theme" is to be played in front of live audiences, with its mysterious dark motif that characterised the sequels – guaranteeing powerful emotions!
