Amadeus Orchestra conducted by Philip Mackenzie - Exeter Cathedral

Program Info:
Amadeus Orchestra
Philip Mackenzie, conductor

Following the orchestra’s spectacular triumph at the Centre in July 2019 they’re back with a glittering programme ranging from the film score of Pirates of the Caribbean to Rachmaninov’s final work – his Symphonic Dances. Malcolm Forbes-Peckham returns to perform Lutoslawski’s very individual take on Paganini’s 24th Caprice.

Paul Dukas (1865-1935) - The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Witold Lutosławski (1913-1994) - Variations on a theme by Paganini, for piano and orchestra
Klaus Badelt (b. 1967) - Film music from Pirates of the Caribbean: He's a Pirate
Sergei Rachmaninov (1873-1943) - Symphonic Dances, Op. 45
