The World of Hans Zimmer - A Symphonic Celebration
Orchestra conducted by Gavin Greenaway - Zenith Dijon
Program Info: After completing the Music Scene in March 2019 and in the Accorhotels Arena on November 24, 2019, "The World of Hans Zimmer - A Symphonic Celebration" announces four exceptional concerts in France, including Toulouse. The show presents a selection of the greatest works of the composer adapted for a symphonic orchestra. Hans Zimmer himself spent several months transforming his soundtracks into classical concert pieces. Although he does not perform in person on this tour, he remains the musical director.
The Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe winner is undoubtedly one of the most famous and respected film composers of our time, and his music has permanently entered the history of cinema. His compositions completed countless blockbuster hits, adding drama and influencing the emotions experienced by the viewers. The Lion King, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Da Vinci Code, The Dark Knight, Inception and Interstellar are just some of the best-known films he illustrated musically. In January 2018, Hans Zimmer was nominated for an Oscar for the 11th time for the breathtaking soundtrack of Christopher Nolan Dunkirk .
At the end of April 2018, the World of Hans Zimmer - A Symphonic Celebration tour began in Germany. Although Maestro himself will not perform during concerts, he plays the role of music director and curator of the entire tour, during which his friends and colleagues will perform.
In contrast to the famous Hans Zimmer Live tour , which focused on the Zimmer band and electronic sounds, The World of Hans Zimmer - A Symphonic Celebration will present the composer's work arranged by a live symphony orchestra. Zimmer himself spent months transforming his soundtracks into rich concert suites. During the concert you will hear, among others premiere arrangements of works from the Lion King or Gladiator .
For the first time, the audience will be able to enjoy watching visually stunning projection of scenes from films for which Hans Zimmer has created music. The composer himself is responsible for the selection of scenes to be used during the projection.
The concert will feature famous soloists from the talent factory of Hans Zimmer, who previously took part in his Live tour. On stage, among others, there will be Pedro Eustache, flutist performing songs from the soundtrack to the Pirates of the Caribbean , cellist Tina Guo, violinist Rusanda Panfili, guitarist Amir John Haddad, bassist Juan Garcia-Herreros, pianist Eliane Correa, vocalists Gan-ya Ben-gur Akselrod and Asja Kadric and percussion Lucy Mandymore, Aleksandra Suklar and Luis Ribeiro. And all this with the wonderful and providing incredible emotions to the accompaniment of a great symphony orchestra conducted by Gavin Greenaway, soundtrack conductor Hans Zimmer - of which the maestro himself says that he trusts him more than himself.
The World of Hans Zimmer - A Symphonic Celebration shows that orchestral music is still alive and the project itself is a unique opportunity to present orchestral music to the new generation.
